Skoda Slavia Style Edition Launched in India at INR 19.13 Lakh; Limited to 500 Units

Skoda Auto India has launched the 'Slavia Style Edition' in the Indian market. The automaker recently acquired the milestone of retailing 1 lakh units of the Slavia sedan in India. The brand is celebrating its achievement with the launch of a limited-run version of the sedan. The new edition is available with a single engine option, and it is priced at INR 19.13 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a range of cosmetic updates.

As of now, the auto giant will only sell 500 units of the Slavia Style Edition. The new model is about INR 30,000 more costly than the outgoing Skoda Slavia. The auto giant is offering the Style Edition in three color options: Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, and Candy White. The latest model comes loaded with features like a digital instrument console, dual dash camera, six airbags, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ISOFIX child anchorages, and more.

The latest Skoda Slavia Style Edition takes inspiration from the top-spec style trim of the sedan. The Style Edition comes equipped with a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine, which is mated to a 7-speed DSG unit. The engine churns out 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The sedan has ‘Edition’ badging on the black mirror covers, blacked-out B-pillars, and black roof foil. The limited edition also gets puddle lamps with logo projection and a dual dash cam. Inside the cabin, the new sedan comes with a new ‘Slavia’ branded scuff plate. The steering wheel also gets an ‘Edition’ badge.

The Brand Director at Škoda Auto India, Petr Janeba, said, “The Slavia Style Edition is yet another instance of us listening to our discerning customers and offering an extremely exclusive, yet high value product for our customers. It comes in very limited numbers, for a very focused set of our customers, but will be accessible across our 200-plus sales touch points across India."

The Skoda Slavia has scored a 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests, which makes this sedan one of the safest models manufactured in India. The latest Style Edition rivals the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and Hyundai Verna.
